The first Thing to do is to create a folder to keep all the file related to your site in. Do this as normal either on your Hard Drive or Floppy Disk.
If you don't know how simple click on the drive you want, the open any folder (my documents is a good place to start) you want to put the new folder in and then right click the mouse on a blank space. Select new -> folder from the sub menu. You can then type in name (make it appropriate e.g. "Joe Bloggs Web Site").
Now open Composer. You begin on a new simple page.
REMEMBER IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE click on edit and select undo.
When you want to save your file either click on save icon or click on file->save.
With Netscape 6 you'll be prompted to give your page a title. You can call it what you want. This will be the name that appears at the top of the browser window when people open it, som make it relevant e.g "my home page" or "our list of links". You don't get this option at this point with earlier versions but you add this later as you'll see shortly.
A standard file save box should open up. It will vary between your operating system but essential should be similar
Here's a windows 98 box
Find the folder you created earlier using the icons, select bar and menues (1).
With older versions you need to enter your page's a file name (2) (keep it to a one word name with no fancy characters).
With Netscape 6 the name will be entered (based on what you called your page if you used 2 or more words the space will be replaced by the underline character _ e.g. my_first_page). You can change the file name (2) if you want, it won't affect the title.
Hit (3)Save
With older (before 6) version you'll now get the chance to title your page.
To load a page if it has been opened recently you may see it and select it from the menu if you click on file otherwise, select file ->open. Click browse and find it.
You can save a file to another place or name (useful for backups) by selecting save as.
